Committees help to organize the most important work of the Council. Committee members provide critical “word-of-mouth” advertising that is essential to building strong awareness and participation. It takes an efficient team to plan, implement and evaluate a successful program; and committee members are essential to getting the work done. Committees are also the training ground for future leadership and an arena where emerging leaders can test and refine their skills and abilities.
